Queensland Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority (Department of Education)
The Queensland state regulator that approves and monitors childcare providers and services and administers the National Quality Framework locally. Families can also contact their service's approved provider directly about complaints over enrolment, waiting lists or fees.

Administers Queensland's Working with Children Check (the Blue Card system), screening and monitoring people who work with children, including childcare staff, to help keep services safe.

Office of Fair Trading (Queensland Department of Justice)
Queensland's consumer protection regulator, administering laws to keep the marketplace fair for consumers and traders. It handles consumer complaints against businesses, including disputes over childcare fees or contracts, and is the agency the Department of Education's early childhood site directs families to for consumer rights complaints.

Services Australia (Centrelink) – Child Care Subsidy
Administers the Child Care Subsidy, the main Australian Government payment that helps eligible families with the cost of approved child care, paid directly to the provider to reduce fees. A multilingual phone service is available for Centrelink payments and services.

Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) – Services Australia
Provides an extra layer of subsidy for families needing additional support beyond standard Child Care Subsidy entitlements, including cases of financial hardship, grandparent carers, transition to work, or child wellbeing concerns.
